Atlantic Coastal Railway Announces New Service

Washington, DC - 11/6/01 - The Atlantic Coastal Railway is proud to announce a new service for its customers who wish to purchase their tickets over the Internet. The new E-ticket system allows passengers to order any ACR service, including Regional, Express and the Airport Shuttle, from the comfort of their own home. Passengers will need to enter an 8-digit BVI account number and once virtual money is charged from their accounts, they will actually receive tickets with their names and train information via email.

The system's advanced scripting guarantees there are no mistakes. If there is an error, the system identifies it in simple terms and quickly approves the ticket for delivery. Internal testing has been going on for weeks at Atlantic Coastal to ensure all bugs have been worked out. However, if anyone does find a bug they are encouraged to e-mail bugs@atlanticrail.cjb.net and report them.

This is the first E-ticketing system developed for a virtual railway.

The new system can be reached through the main site at www.atlanticrail.com or directly at http://www.atlanticrail.com/pl/eticket/index.html

The Atlantic Coastal Railway is one of the top virtual railways that combines the virtual airline model with Microsoft's Train Simulator. The ACR provides world-class passenger service to the Northeast Corridor between Philadelphia and Washington, DC.
