Suddenly Expansion For Canton By Rich Garber For All Aboard

Suddenly continues the Canton experience offering you more mainline,
more industries, more towns, many new buildings and scenery; even more
detailed than ever. And Suddenly continues the use of photo-realistic
textures for everything. And like Canton, it all is built to scale!
Because of this, the scenery is authentic looking as you wind your way
through the hillsides and towns. And Canton was also given a face-lift
too! New vegetation, buildings and automobiles were added or remodeled.
Very few tiles if any were left unchanged. So having Suddenly is like
having a new Canton too!

But remember, Canton-Suddenly focuses on switching so be prepared to
work. With 16 new industries including some impressive modeling by Bill
Bieszczak (Suddenly Refinery and the interior to Boundys Freight Car
Repair Shop), there are over 50 new spurs to pickup and deliver to.
There are also nine new towns including a completely redone Interchange
area to become acquainted with.

You will also see new and improved automobiles by Bill Bieszczak which
tremendously enhance the authentic look of the route. And if that isn't
enough, Ed Hawkins added some excellent animation such as rotating
windmills, moving forklifts, and stop lights that change and more.
And if you like doing activities, Suddenly includes 11 new activities
plus the original 40+ activities now updated for Suddenly. Because of
this you will need the free Canton engine/rollingstock packages by Dick
Cowen found here in the file library here at Train-sim (For other
locations please see my website listed at the end of this write-up).

Add to what has already been mentioned is the incredibly easy
installation and my colorful Suddenly manual which compliments the
Canton manual. The manual and story fills in the historical area of the
Suddenly area as well as my design notes and what I think makes
Canton-Suddenly so special.

If you have been keeping up the developments of Canton-Suddenly then
you already know there are a group of us that continually work
towards making Canton-Suddenly a realistic railroading experience.
Just recently we introduced a Canton rolling stock realistic
physics package featuring the work of Marv Keur, Jean-Louis
Chauvin, Dick Cowen and the front coupler fix by Joe Morris. Tim
Court of Severn Valley and whom also did the track textures featured
in Canton-Suddenly also graciously donated one fantastic looking
Canton GP20. And thanks to Craig Kanahara and Don Hughes who
both graciously donated their own versions of Schematics for
Canton-Suddenly in easy to read and print pdfs! And don't forget
that Switchlist Generator and Activity Master by Steve Davis
(Skyling Computing) are a perfect match with Canton-Suddenly. Already
Steve has a template for both Canton and Suddenly! Check out Steve's
site for more information (www.skylinecomputing.com) You can find
more about these additions to Canton-Suddenly and where to get them
at my web site (see below) too. And you can always visit those who
chat about the route at my All Aboard forum over at 3dtrains.com.
Upcoming improvements and additions for the route are discussed there
in serious and zany-like fashion.
Currently prices are $12 to download Suddenly (38 megs; requires Canton
and the four Canton rollingstock packages), $17 for a CD mailed to you
anywhere in the world.
