Announcing TsPathfinder

TsPathfinder is a program that will generate maps of MSTS routes or activities, it allows you to specify the features which you would like to include in the map and gives you control over colours, fonts, and other display characteristics. You can also add your own annotations and drawings and save your maps to edit further in other paint programs.

Additionally TsPathfinder allows you to modify the player consist used in any activity, so that you do not have to depend on finding the consist that was used by the creator in order to use the activity.

The main features of TsPathfinder are:

Generate maps of Entire Routes, Activities, or detailed sections of routes.
Choose whether to display Platforms, Station Names, Sidings, Mileposts, Signals, Switches, Activity start and end points, Work order drop and pick up points, timetable checkpoints, track grades etc.
Customise your map further by selecting background colour, track and trackbed width, font size, colour and style and sizes and colours of all map features.
Crop and zoom map to show specific sections in high detail, save detailed sections as separate maps.
Add your own text and drawings to the TsPathfinder generated maps.
Export your maps in popular image formats.
View and print briefings, timetables and workorders for each activity.
See instantly whether the player consist for an activity is installed, if not select one that is.

The first release of TsPathfinder will be available from 11th November 2002. Release 1.0 may not include all of the features mentioned above, but these will follow as free upgrades, along with a number of other features.

A demo version of TsPathfinder will be available for free download, and this will have all the functionality of the full version with the exception that maps will only be able to be generated for three of the default MSTS routes. The full version will generate maps of all default routes and any third-party routes which you have installed.
