Broadway Limited Locomotive Works has come out with yet another addition to its growing line of payware models: Two different packages of the Pennsylvania Railroad / Trailer Train Corporation "F30d" 45'-6" intermodal flatcars.
For those who love early intermodal, these are the cars for you: built from aging Pennsylvania Railroad F30a Flatcars beginning in 1950, these cars were specially modified to carry the Pennsylvania Railroad's new "Truc Train" trailers. beginning in 1955 and working into the 1960's, the Pennsylvania Railroad transferred ownership of the F30d's to a recently created Trailer Train Corporation (Of which ORR was a part-owner).
Broadway Limited Locomotive Works currently has the Pennslyvania Railroad version available, with the TTX version coming next. Features include operating planks for loading the trailers (done using the MSTS-Bin Door Commands), accurately rendered, hand-drawn master artwork with photorealistic trucks, accurately rendered Freuhalf 32' Aerovan trailers in single or dual axle variatiions and a few different schemes, Proper trailer chaining gear (to lock the trailers while in transit) and bonus route builders extras...
