Railwaves.com Announces Latest Project

Railwaves.com is pleased to announce that it is developing an add-on package for Microsoft Train Simulator in association with the West Somerset Railway PLC.

The package will simulate the route between Norton Fitzwarren Junction and Minehead in Somerset, England (a distance of approximately 23 miles - 37 Km) and will feature activities based around the actual operation of the railway, which is a preserved line.

We plan to feature the following locomotives and rolling stock:

a. GWR "Manor" Class steam locomotive
b. "Hymek" diesel-hydraulic locomotive
c. Class 115 Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU)
d. Selection of passenger coaches (including the Quantock Belle dining train)
e. Selection of period freight wagons

All locomotives will feature accurate cabviews and sounds.

The proposed publication date for the package is Winter 2002/2003.
