Replace cab view in SSW Cotton Belt 4-8-4?

I like the SSW 819 Cotton Belt 4-8-4, but the cab view of the TA Hudsons is far superior. Can I delete the SSW cab view file and copy the TA Hudson cab view into the SSW, without causing any problems????

Thanks for the comeback, but it's not clear to me if it's a "yes" or "no" answer to my original question, which is: "Can I delete the SSW cabview file and copy the TA Hudson cabview file into the SSW, without causing any problems?"

And perhaps you (or someone else) would be so kind as to explain what you mean in your answer when you say to "put the 'proper' cabview entry in the .eng file."

The answer is no. If you put in a new cabview without changing the cabview entry the train won't load. Open up the 819's eng file and look for "cabview" and see what the entry says. Now open the Hudson's and see what it says. To use the Hudson cabview the cabview entry must call for that file.
If you want to try it, copy the 819's cabview folder (if it has one, it may be "aliased") and the eng file to your desktop first. Then if you mess up, you can put them back.
I recommend getting "Conbuilder". It allows you to alias the cabview and or sound from one engine to another without duplicating the files.

The Easy way
1. Move the cabview folder from the SSW folder to a safe place.
2. Copy the ese cabiew folder into the SSW folder.
3. edit the eng file to point to the new cvf file in the cabview folder.

If you have purchased the American classics use the cabview folder from any of the ta_j3a_**** folders. It uses an alias cvf file. Using the alias cvf file will prevent pixelating any of the cabview.

All i do is get the ESE caview ( cvc ) i think it is and name it as same as the flying scotsman one! and delete the flying scotsman cvc! then move all the ESE requred files into the cabview and delete the scotsman ones!
