Special Thanks to Gaetan Bellanger for creating this amazing set of the Erie Lackawanna's Phoebe Snow.
This set is a welcome addition and should be right at home on the New Jersey Railroading route.
Now, just one question. This is my first time uploading anything to Train-Sim.com. I'm not sure exactly what to do. Should I put the read me and file id as well as a screenshot in the Phoebe Set folder and then upload the whole folder to Train-sim? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much and look forward to seeing your screenshots of this train.
Dave

Wow! Phoebe's a beauty. And I'll be the first to admit that my love is in Chicago-based trains, so I'm betraying them a bit in my admiration. But that's a good looking bunch o' train there. Very nicely done. I suppose I'll have to have it.

I WANNA LACKAWANNA!! Great set guys! Can't wait to get ahold of it. Somebody mentioned in another post about Phoebe Snow being a New Jersey train. Wasn't its route between Buffalo and New York City? When I upload something here's how I do it. I take my read me, file id diz, picture and the folder the item(s) is in, and zip it all together. Make sure you include a jpg or gif screenshot so people can see what the item looks like when they browse the file library. Make sure your file id and readme are in .txt format. I always keep everything in its folder(s) too, so that way installtion is easier and less messy for everyone. Once again, great job guys!

Hi Grizz,
Thanks so much for the compliments and the info. I will upload the set tonight so it should be available tomorrow in the file library.
The Phoebe Snow actually ran between Hoboken, NJ and Chicago. It did stop in Buffalo however. It was a big competitor to the Erie Limited which I hope to see for Train-Sim one day.
Thanks,
Dave

The Phoebe Snow was introduced after WWII by the Delaware Lackawanna and Western Railroad and ran on a daylight schedule between Hoboken NJ and Buffalo NY, with a through sleeper westbound to Chicago via the Nickel Plate. (The eastbound sleeper ran on another train.) It competed with the Erie Limited (Erie RR) and the NYC's Empire State Express. I rode it many times. The train was initially hauled by 3 (ABA) F units, later by 2 E8's.
After the merger of the Lackawanna and the Erie about 1960, the train ran between Hoboken and Chicago, and did not operate via Buffalo.
I believe Metro-North (NY commuter railroad) now owns the two observation cars, and operates them occasionally on specials.

Gaetan does it again! And with my favorite train, too! I can't wait to download this one!
I guess the EL PAs will have to suffice until someone can do some E8s.
No, scratch that. Since he has done the set as the Lackawanna original, maybe someone can do a good "F3" treatment on the TA F7.

The set will be uploaded tonight. Had some trouble on my home pc. So, hopefully it will be in the file library by tomorrow.
It's interesting though, how this thread has generated so little traffic.
I don't think many of the forum posters are interested in this trainset.
For those who are, enjoy, you'll find the wait was worth it.

Hey Dave
I wouldn't worry too much about not much traffic on the thread. I got about the same amount of response when I first posted pics of the Rio Grande Zephyr, yet I've gotten almost 1000 downloads in 5 days. My guess is this trianset will be quite popular!

Hi Guys,
I agree. I am just so amazed and proud of the work that Gaetan has done, and the justice he has done this train for MSTS.
I can't wait to see the download count.
By the way Grizzly, your Rio Grande Trainset is fantastic!
And Gaetan, you're right it is Summer. I keep forgetting because I'm chained to my desk, LOL.
Thanks guys,
Dave

Hopefully these will fill a need, but I'm still hoping that someone willdo a nice set of F3s.
In the meantime, look for the E8s in the File Library in the next couple of days.
