OK, so I thought I would rename the cars I have so they mean something and try to bring some order in the consist editor.
So now, I have 4 or 5 and sometimes 10 of the same car listed. How do you clean this up? Why is it duplicating these if I only change the name of the car in the wag file?

If you used BN Boxcar or the same name in the name line it will do it like that. What I do is put the RR (BN, etc); wag/engine type (sd40-2, boxcar, etc); and then the road number. This keeps things straight.

OK, so I change to:
Wagon ( Stock;UP;1
comment( Single door high cube box car )
and then I have 10 Stock;UP;1
so, I did: Wagon ( Stock-UP-1a
comment( Single door high cube box car )
Type ( Freight )
and now I have 10 Stock-UP-1a
What am I missing?

LAST EDITED ON Jun-18-02 AT 10:29PM (EDT)[p]These are the last three lines of atsfcab999778 wag file that I will use as an example of adding a name line to a wag file.
Sound ( "GenFreightWag1.sms" )
Name ( "ATSF caboose 999778" )
)
I added the name line in all of the wag files on my system. Return the wagon line to like it originally was and add the name line before the last ). This will solve the problem.
