The KLWTrainSim F59PH sounds have finally been taken care of! We have decided to use the KLW 40 Series Sound Set with special HEP generator sounds, derived from the GP38!
The only other stuff left to do is the rear light, editing of the cabview to F59 specs and permission to include it, a GP59 engine file from Bob B. and corrected numbering. The set will include two F59s.
Take care everyone!

Kurt..
Nice work, and a great model for any GO fan.. I can't wait to see how she runs.. I'm also looking forward to your GP40-2W.
Keep up the good work, and thanks!
cheers

Hello Harold!
Thanks for the compliments :-)
Right now, I don't know how she'll ride, as I am putting Bob's engine file in it now....but it sounds like it's got a seperate HEP generator in there, I added an extra stream to the .SMS files in SL1, SL3 and SL5.
P.S.: Anyone remember the GO repaint of John F's F59PHI? Well, I was running it on John's original Amtrak West F59PHI .ENG file all this time....LOL!
Take care!

Hey Kurt, that looks really great! Are the re-done Bombardier cars still in the works? I really loved that passenger view!

Euston: Yep....I used Transnorm, not alphanorm. In fact, alphanorm is useless....
Matt (BNSF4723): Those re-done cars are in the works...Buzz Benz and me were talking about making it an NALW joint project. The project is not gong to progress far until I get some better GO Transit textures for it though....the passenger view can be added to the existing cars though!
BTW, no blank skins for this one...it's a early project, before I decided to release stuff with the blank skins...but alphable parts are included! :-)
Take care!!!

The passenger view is already done? I so badly would love to have that! Are you planning on uploading it before the cars are done?

You know, I might make an update for the original Bi-levels by John Fowlis...or I can whip up a quick skin for the bi-level and release it with the F59s...
Take care!

A skin would be great! The old one sorta needs some weathering effects... GO doesn't clean these things everyday!

Here's a pic of the new cabview!!!
http://www.trainsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d148f3b6512b9bc.jpg
It's based on Richard Chang's SD60M cab. The speedo is from the NALW GMD 4 window wide cab v0.6. (GMD Widecab v0.6 was never released to the public and was a beta version that SamS. and me were editing. v0.8 became the final release v1.0).
I used a photo of the real cab for one of the cab panels....I don't like how it looks all that much, so that will be replaced....
Take care!

Wow, I just got home from being at a cottage all weekend, what a pleasant surprise to find this thread when I got home! The F59PH looks great, can't wait to take it for a spin and add it to any future activities i make.
Looking forward to a redone Bombardier Bi-Level too, I'm looking forward to actually being able to drive it witha cabview.
Cheers
Dave
