Congratulations and thanks to Edouard and his team! This is a beautiful train. I don't have external sound, though; anybody know where the trouble might lie?

Perhaps the problem is you gotta have the quantity of sound slider set to max

Don't think that's it; internal sound is five by.

I don't think the Internal and External sounds are the same type. Slider might work differently on both. Try it. What have you to lose? And everything to gain.

Thanks so much for this!

Great looking rig, and the best TGV in-cab sounds I've ever heard without exception. Pulling the engine sound when the pantograph is down is wonderful!

Kind regards,
Mike

Dominik...good to see you're still around.

And we still need a Euro-trainsim forum! (Trainsimmatch seems to get no traffic since they moved.)

Got to agree with you there, Rob :-( ...I wonder why they could not simply transfer the old forum to the new site.

There is, however, a good German TS forum which I have come to visit on a pretty regular basis in the meantime, but since I don't know if you have any knowledge of German I cannot say whether this might be an option for you. If you'd like to take a look anyway, the URL is in my sig :-) .

Update: the Duplex is now available right here in the file library.

File name: duplex.zip

Nothing to do with the sound settings. In fact, I removed the folder, downloaded it again and reinstalled it, only to find I had neither internal nor external sound, and then discovered I had lost all sound on my computer.

I certainly do, Pierre! Had to do some tweaking in order to get the LGV Med activities set up with this train, but when I got it done I had one he11 of a ride! :D I don't even know where to begin with my praise for your work...

Those sounds are interesting, by the way...kinda like those warp drive noises from Star Trek ;-) ...

Still nobody else with my goofy "no external sound" problem? Plain vanilla set-up, TGV Med route, explore route mode, great everything else, just no external sound ... anybody?

Again, thank you.

Hi Rub !

Sorry I can't help you... the problem is over my sound competences...

May be it's better to contact directly Belphegor or Newalex....

If I remember right your french is "plus que parfait non ?"

Ciaou, Edouard!

Plus que parfait???? Non!

Je ne sais pas pourquoi le son TGV ne marche pas chez moi. C'est ma faute, sans doute. Mais j'ai peur que jusqu'a le meme probleme arrive a quelq'un d'autre, le mystere reste.

Hi Bud,
It is really strange, I made several test run in your configuration:
TGV Med route, explore route mode, start from Avignon or Aix en provence and external sound play very well on several PC (comprising a P300 to test the limits)
External sound are only fan, aerodynamic and horn sounds.

Hi Bud

I think you have already adjusted sounds parameters to the max on MSTS setting menu ?

For the moment I didn't received any other complaint about this problem....

I ask to Belphegor or to Newalex to contact you...

Let me join the club in thanking the TGV2N crew again for their exceptional achievment!

At its best on LGV-MED v1.1 High Speed route.
A further extension of latter is in the workshop, and fresh 3rd party acts under development, too.

For fans of European rails, you have been told a nice forum already.

There is also www.the-train.de , another dedicated german site.

It offers News, a reskinned Download area, test reports (english area just getting extended), and a friendly forum with an english section (admit otherwise most is in Goethe's language). Molière's spoken too, and Cervantès' + Dante's half way, if needed...
Sure we will answer your questions as well as we can !

the-train.de will inform of relevant TGV news, of course.

Merci encore, de tout coeur, Edouard et vos amis !
Joyeux Noël à tous !

Thanks, Alex. Sorry you're having trouble, but I've actually been hoping this external sound thing would happen to someone else who might be able to suggest a solution. If you find the bug, please post your fix.
