Yeowwww!
Running the Coal West just now, and started at the beginning of the first leg...everything fine til about mile 1068.6 or so...there was a glare on the windshield from the conductors reading light so I stuck my head out the window & just got a glimse of what looked like a guy standing right in the middle of my track...maybe a sweater drapped "yuppie-like" over his shoulders...
Hit the horn and the brakes but he didn't move & just disappeared at the nose of my engine.
Tell me I'm just up to darn early on a Sunday...Please!?

Was this on Marias Pass, and if so was the guy standing on the track near a bridge? There is a trespasser there on the Default route.

Yes, it's on Marias Pass 3.1, about half-way between Shelby & CutBank...on the map, it's about Torgenson(SP?). My first post had a mis-key...it was at 78.6, not 68....which is at the end of Shelby yard.
So, are the sheriff's waiting for me in CutBank? I saved & bailed out of the activity, but didn't see any warnings or anything in the run details...
If I see this again, how do I shoo this idiot off the tracks? Seems the deer are a lot smarter...well...some of them anyway.
fwiw, I walked into the living room where my wife and son were watching something on the cooking channel (2nd favorite thing after trains here is eating!) and announced, "I think I've just killed a man!" "That's nice." Denise said calmly, "Where did this happen?" I think either she doesn't listen to me, or she's learned not to be shocked at anything I say anymore...*-}

That's OK! You always hit things in MSTS. You can blast the horn at the deer, but it's not so easy with the cars and the people... Just keep it on the high iron!

Trespasser on the tracks? WTF was Kuju thinking?
If Operation Lifesaver knew about that...

If you saved the activity before the train had proceeded a train length, re-start it watch the rear of the train (View 3). Your dead man should appear on the tracks when the rear end passes the point of impact.

You, mean... there's actually a corpse, or is our dead man still on his feet?

He'll pop out the rear, completely unscathed!
Same with cars - it's kinda fun watching one disappear under the loco and pop out the side of the next railcar! :)

Not to worry, you didn't kill him. MSTS is also a science fiction simulator ala Star Trek. Your train can pass right thru people, deer and automobiles on the track without harming them. Had you looked at the end of your train you would have seen that the "sweater drapped yuppie" as you described him, was left standing on the track unscathed. The idiot probably didn't even blink an eye! ;-)

Actually it only looks like a "sweater draped yuppie." It's really a large black duck who made a wrong turn at Albuquerque and didn't get off the track as fast as his rabbit travelling companion. If you look carefully after the train goes by you'll see him pick up his beak and put it back on his face.
