Yes I know I have not been finishing all of me repaints. From now on, I am going to do one repaint each week. You can continue to look at this post for updates. The first updates will probably be tomorrow.

CSX ex-Seaboard System MP15? Here's a pic from CSX Photo archives: http://www.trainweb.org/csxphotos/photos/MP15/1146sbd.jpg
Two of this switcher's brothers work by my house.
Or maybe an ex-B&O GP40. You can find pics of engines from CSX and it's family tree from here: http://www.trainweb.org/csxphotos/
Also here's a cool one: http://www.trainweb.org/csxphotos/photos/GP39-2/4308glf.jpg

Be quiet man! His HLCX, and CSX didn't work! The HLCX there is a picture of, the loco had BMP problems, and the CSX C30-7 had color issues! He's only 11 so give him a break! Also he posted a pic of his Guilford he was making!

Well don't think you are getting alittle ahead of yourself by saying you are going to do "one repaint each week" and this and that when you haven't managed to get one to work properly let alone release anything?

All I'm saying is don't go around saying you are gunna do something and when its gunna be done when you are still learning the art of reskinning.

Stephen, you should take your time. Just make sure you get finished. Make sure you get finished with one before you say you'll do another is all.

I will give you guys this much. I am almost done with a c30-7 for CSX. Right now, I got to go to school so I will post later. Also, I have completed that ex guilford it looks like that Daniel posted. For that model, I downloaded a guilford from shawn's site. I gave it new colrs, a new G and painted it over. I also got the lettering done and I might possibly do something with the truck textures.

I know one thing!, I have one request for the Reapaint, if it is not too much for you. I would like to request a an Ex-conrail in CSX colors with the conrail symbols patched (with CSX of course) and have the cab number in csx color too.

Hope that is clear.

and merry christmas.

Stephen and Daniel..
Colour issues.....killing a project....AND HERE YOU ARE GOING TO RELEASE SOMETHING NEW EVERY WEEK?????WTH!!!:|
Then .bmp problems....N-O......do i have to spell it out for you AGAIN?
RE-SIZE your textures to the original size....AND YOUR HLCX WILL WORK!
You've failed to ask for help with ANYTHING here, maybe if you gave us more info we could help you get this colour thing sorted, you dont have to give up, and i know your 11, i dont care though, i started the same age as you, only to fail miserably.
To be honest, it doesnt look like you did anything much to that GP30 thing, just painted the black and remove some letters...add a couple numbers and presto you have a "re-paint"....please dont kick train-sim while its down....all the errors, flaming in forums here like this, but then again i guess this post isint helping :P.
Your putting waaaaayyyyy WAAAAAYYY too much on your plate for a beginner, heack Danny Beck would need an 18 wheeler full of coffee to do a repaint a week!!
Its too much for a "newbie" man...give yourself time as its been mentioned, let your skills get better, then you can release as much as you want, if its good enough, wich anything rarely is here, we'l ask for more.
If not, the community here will try to help you fix +what you can and are willing to recieve help with.
These 2 projects wich are now dead to common errors wich are easier to fix than a cardgame, just need some help from people with experience, as i've said, resize that .bmp, and change/darken/lighten...we dont know what to your colours, you need to show us and we'l help with what we can dude!

Stephen, The picture you've got is of an ex-D&H GP39 and the loco you've got in the sim is a GP40. You may want to consider changing models or changing the road number on the model to a correct number...

I am not that much of a beginner anymore. I have made 14 repaints of my own sysem. SA RAIL LINK. I do not feel like showing pics of them right now as of I do not like the paint scheme.

THe only i thing i have a problem with is the models you choose. Frankly, that is way out of date. Its not your fault, but not too many people ( atleast what i can see ) will D/L that. Not because teh paint is bad, but the model itself isnt a good looker anymore. I know you dont have too much to choose from, but i would try some stuff on say, idk, Erik's( sp? ) SD40 once he releases it. try some nice models to paint. One thing , DONT EVER PUT A RELEASE DATE ON THINGS, it never gets done.

THANK YOU!!!!! I could bnot figure out for me life what road number that was! And by the way COLMAN, I did not just cross out the G and the other letters. I changed all of the grayish- greenish colors on that loco and it took 3 tries. I also spent an hour on it.

CATMAN1

I am not goin to upload it but if you want it I will put in the CSXT and try I repeat TRY to send it to you.

"if its good enough, wich anything rarely is here, we'l ask for more."

I know I read your post, and this little gem above did not go unnoticed.

Your assessment of Mr Beck's abilities to crank out a "repaint" in less than a week, is an assumption you are in no position to presume. Catman's pronouncement of doing all those repaints is indeed over-ambitious, but let him find that out for himself. There has already been too many Shawn Kelley wannabe's lately, I would hope that you dont consider yourself among that number.

You really need to learn how to relax more. BTW that pic above? its in the archives.

Don't you need a licence to release somthing with CSX markings?

anyways, doesn't look bad for a newbie. Relax, you'll get the hang of it.

CATMAN1
12-22-2005, 08:55 PM
Someone has released something csx without a licsense and did not get in trouble. They said just to upload it. So I figured I would try it.

jay611
12-22-2005, 08:55 PM
Yep. You need a CSX licence if you put their marks on it.

I sure had to get a CSX licence to release anything CSX or any fallen flag of it.

CATMAN1
12-22-2005, 09:01 PM
Ya they reccomended a licsense if I wanted to do a good amount of CSX repaints so I am off to get one. Anyone know which one that I should get? I think that there are three licsense agreements.

GrandTrunkFan
12-22-2005, 09:12 PM
You have to get the For Profit form, but if youre doing freeware, which obviously you are, put Fees Waived Per CSX. That is what I had to do on my form. Email the lady that does that stuff just to double check.
