I was wondering where you guys are getting the files that the route geometry extractor uses to convert real world elevations into a new train simulator route file. I am considering expanding the northeast corridor north possibly to NY if I can figure out how to work the editors. It would be very useful to be able to use the route generator to extract the real world data for this. The other question I have is if there is anyway to combine to files that cover the same area. I know I saw that someone was considering doing Philadelphia to Chicago. If I can do Philadelphia to NY it would be great to be able to use both files to be able to go to either city from Philadelphia. Is there anyway to combine files like this using either the ditors or some other method. If so it would greatly expand the abilities of the program and allow for unlimited destinations like in Flight Simulator. The third question is how do you upload files to this site. I have created a modified Genesis engine with an interior view for the Superliner cars using the metroliner interior. I know there is already a Genesis posted but I though this would be a file everyone could enjoy and I would like to upload it. Thanks for your help in answering any of these questions. And good luck with creating the add ons for this great program.

I don't think you'll be able to see both routes but what you might be able to do is contact the person creating the other route and once both your routes are done, maybe get together and combine them. Unfortunatly it will take a lot more disk space. Two routes worth. But hey if you wanna have fun with multiple routes I guess we got to make sacrifices.(Damn I got to get rid of more games on my computer) LOL

Phily thru NY to Chicago or direct? I went DC-NY-Chicago 5 years ago when I was in the US. Interesting but not such like the Japanese Bullet train (Shinkansen) which I have been on 16 times over the years. That train IS a rush! :-) I wish we could all build it BUT the main line is like 1000 km (600 miles) long! Tokyo to Osaka is about 600km/350 miles. That might be easier.

I'd love to have a tool that would import elevation data for me! Even better it would be nice to have the whole world!
