Ok maybe some of you guys can lend me some help here on my route.
This is what i've got so far:
About 20 miles of track on tiles generated from the geo extractor.
Real life base elevation starts at around 640 MSL at the Tallapoosa river crossing and gradually rises to about 670 MSL, then it abruptly rises to roughly 810 MSL starting a little out of Roanoke and through Roanoke.
My questions are.
1. I am guessing the tiles once extracted are set at 0 MSL as I have made no changes to terrain, etc. Just layed track. Is this so?
2. How does one make base elevation changes for the above mentioned?? Surely there is a way you can gradually step the tiles or do I have to raise all the terrain for the whole tile by hand? ETC? Surely not as I would have to gradually raise whole tiles almost 600 to 800' just to reach base, THEN set hills, on top of that. I know how i can create terrain changes on top of the base elevation. I just need someone to clue me in on how to set the overall base elevation gradually along with grades for the track, etc and gradually blend it in.
Once I figure out how to do this, I think making the terrain, on top of the base will be a snap. I'm just hung up on setting the base and grades.
Help me out here.
Best Regards to all!!
