Route Editor Error

If you get "Invalid track placement - junction to junction placement is invalid" message while trying to lay track switches end-to-end, delete the track switches that you just laid, lay a short piece of straight track at end of one track switch and lay another track switch at end of the short straight track. This is the error that drove me crazy for a few days. Jeffrey.

Did you find that the editor let you lay the invalid track anyway, even after the warning? If so, could you run a train over it without derailing?

I didn't run a train over the track sections and switches that give me the message but I couldn't snap a track section or switch to the track section or switch that gives me the message. Jeffrey.
