1) In the shape file select the LINEARMIPLINEAR and -3 LOD options.
2) Use Remipit on the texture file to correct that.

That message means your texture isn't in one of the acceptable formats. Which basically means that it's DXT. Create the .ace again, either specifying no compression or zlib compression, and then feed it to ReMipIt.

I have not been able to solve a problem with this road texture.... White line goes funny with distance. Used TGAtools to modify the ace file.
Anyone get any pointers on what is causing this?

Been trying to get this to work for a couple of days now but still not resolving it.
With 1 above do you change this using wordpad? i have not found these settings yet?
and 2 i keep getting the following message when using REmipit on road2lane.ace.
any help would be great as i am boggin down here

There are two ways to do it.
1) When creating the shape in the 3d editor - 1st picture shows the GMAX Material Tools window, the options are set where indicated.
2) Decompress the shape file and edit with wordpad - last 2 pictures show where (in the shape file) the options will appear, change them to match what you need and recompress shape file.
