I just changed the horn sound of the default gp38.All work fine but inside the cabview where it sounds something like one octave higher!
However outside it sounds at the right pitch.I took the same file like the outside one and renamed it.Could anyone help me on this please? Thanks:-)

:'( any help strongly appreciated...

Still me;) forgot to mention information about the wave file: bit rate:352 Kbps, 16 bits, 11 KHz, format PCM.

The inside sounds should be 11025 hz, stereo, 16 bit.
The outside sounds should be 11025 hz, mono, 16 bit.

11025 hz is the same thing as 11KHz.So any idea why the distorsion of sound happen in stereo mode??? I tried to cut 3db in the modulation menu without success...
Thanks for reply :-)

I don't know about the distortion. If you are using Goldwave (the only sound editor I'm familiar with), I think that the height of the wave cannot exceed the window it's displayed in. I try to keep the sound level below the top of the window. You can try reducing the volume in your sound editor, but if it's already distorted, reducing the volume may just give you quieter distortion. If you can go back to the undistorted sound source, you can make a new .wav file, being careful not to exceed the maximum sound level (volume) and make new undistorted loops.

Distorted sound will usually display square tops on the waves.

Here's an example: I took this sound

And boosted the volume until it exceeded the height of the window

And then I reduced the volume of the distorted sound, which shows the tops of the waves are clipped (distortion).

Of course, it might not be this at all.

I use Cool Edit 2000.
Well, I used the same files for the sd40 and it plays like a charm in the cabview... it seems that it happen just in the gp38's cabview.
Probably a bug of the mysterious MSTS, anyway thanks a lot for your help :-)
