Is there any way to edit the horn or Whistles to coincide more with how long the Space Bar is held down?
I would like to be able to do short blasts and long blasts.
Seems like every horn or whistle has one Long Blast. Any hope?
Thanks

One must be proficient with a sound editor and modify the looping to produce the short blasts. It is all in the "(horn name).wav" file that this is done. I'm positive it cannot be done just by going in and typing in numbers/letters somewhere....definitely has to be done with a sound editor. Many users of these MSTS forums have mentioned a program called "Goldwave" to do such sound editing. I tried Goldwave myself, but could not figure out how to do a darn thing within that program.

The horns from 3D Trains (on the motive power in the Cajon Route) all have had such modification and the short blasts sound very well.

Also, the Airchime K5LA that comes with the NALW F40's and Genesis Loco packages does a very good short blast when needed.

And, all the horns from Maple Leaf Tracks in both the Kicking Horse Pass and Sandpatch routes do quite well producing short blasts.
