I have posted the updated PCC with functional controls, updated .eng, and sound. There is more work to be done, but it's a lot closer to what it should be.

Thanks for the update, Matt!

I just hopped over and downloaded same. Hopefully I can sneak some time away from post move-in chores to take a look at her in the next few days. :)

Matt,
Getting closer & closer. Like the new cabview. The gong is a tad weak. Now all you nead is an interior view & working doors.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the update!!....Your PCC just keeps getting better and better. I think it's time to go work on an LARY repaint of it:-)

Best Regards,

Thanks for the update Matt. Glad you're still improving this model.
I'd give it a new paint job myself, but I just moved to Florida as a "snowbird" and my Photoshop program that I use for re-skinning is still in New York and will be retrieved in September. Love to do this in Philly, Boston, Pittsburgh and Toronto colors.

I can't wait for some repaints either, there are so many possibilities with this type of car. I do a lefty door model for the MBTA, and a no-couplers one as well. Everything will get done sometime!

I have a question how to you install the MBta Type 8 on T-Sim

John,
You can't. Was not built for the train sim.

Matt,

I just downloaded the update and ran the PCC yesterday. Looks great! You made a huge improvement on the cabview and it looks very realistic. The eng settings must be just about right, because the car is very fast (I gunned down the Northeast Corridor main line at nearly 80mph) and when I had a chance to operate one of these at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, CA, someone had remarked that if you weren't careful it could take off from right under you. On good track, they were easily capable of over 60 mph. Well, anyway...good job!

Oh, by the way...with the talk of repaints already, anyone interested in doing a PE repaint to it? :-)

Chris,
The PE used double ended PCC only. So far Matt has not built one yet.
