Just a few quick picks.

Lavajarvi Railway is an undergoing project consisting more than 130 miles of main track line in Northern Ostrobotnia in Finland. Yes, it is a fictional route.

At the east end of Ylikiiminki yard. Sign proclaims "Begin ATC". Other three signs are plow signs "Lift the blades".

The model of Dv12 diesel-hydraulic locomotive is by Sami Matthews, and features a custom cab and sounds. Dv12's are the most numerous locomotive series in Finland, and so far the most reliable.

The LJR Website is at [link:www.lavajarvi.tk|Lavajarvi.tk]. Sorry to say but the English section is a bit out-of-date... :)

I was fascinated by this route, perhaps it's the wintery scences and winter is just around the corner where I live. I visited the www.lavajarvi.com site and tried to follow the link to the Makasiiniraide site, however this link seems to be broken. Google does list Makasiiniraide but the link is broken as well. Are there any alternate sites I can pursue?

Makasiiniraide's server is currently down. They are moving it into Boston, Mass. It should be back online soon.
