What route is that there with those N&W units...judging by the bridge I'd have to say it's the Pocohantas Div between Blue Field, W.Va and Williamson, W.VA

I was about to ask the same question

What route is that ?

One screen shot looks like Sandpatch

These were all shot on Ohio Rail 10. It is a really good route for running NS or CSX equipment. I think Rich is working it back to West Virginia.

An SD60 and SD50 lead a merchant freight up a steep grade in Ohio.

If you mean the #8326. I tweaked it a bit using Polyview, which I saw suggested by somebody else on the forum.

I'll I did was one sharpen & then lowered the contrast with the slider until I could see the detail.

Found the software here.

realsquash
12-10-2002, 04:07 PM
I don't think MSTS would handle the polycount on these guys! I've been concentrating on Trainz because it's just more fun to operate for me. Maybe someday I'll look into making them work in MSTS!

Indeed they are spartan cab SD70's. I've done the NS and Conrail so far, I'm still working on the IC paint scheme. I'll take some more pix and post them tonight when I get home. I don't have any good shots on my website yet (NS engines are really dark at night :))

realsquash
12-10-2002, 11:30 PM
The will be available in the coming few weeks. I've got a ton of stuff that I'll be releasing at the same time (at www.digitalroundhouse.com ). The are all still betas so some things are not done/right (rear numberboards on the NS SD70's, wrong shade of colors, etc).

Now for those SD70M'...do those have custom cabs/sounds?

realsquash
12-11-2002, 09:58 PM
I'm still modelling the cabs but yes, they all will have the proper cabs. The CN SD70/75I with control stand, spartan cabs with the proper control stand and flatpanel monitors, and there are two types of desktop controls that I am making.

They will have custom sounds also. I'm hunting sounds this weekend :)

OK gang

Need a little more NS in here. This rather large local is two stops away from home - Southbound to Gainesville, Georgia at Milepost 581. Just dropped two gondola's at this little industry. Watching from under a shady tree, late afternoon. Just about to enter double track territory.
