G'day (famous Aussy saying...) - any of you beta testa's help with these questions ?

Will trainz support import of digital elevation data ?

Where are the steamers ?

Is there a cab view (I've yet to see a screen shot posted from the cab) ?

What format / program are the 3D objects created in ?

What size are the route files - huge like MSTS ?

Yours in anticipation

Most likely...

Trainz will cover the diesel era first. Steamers will come later.

Yes there is. I'll post it on CroTrainz tomorrow.

They've been created in 3D Studio Max but support for other programs will be available.

A typical route is much smaller than MSTS route

Yes. There will be electric trains. Auran created a lot of electric models including the GG-1.

What about train physics? For example will it take some time to charge up the air? Will it be possible to piss (please pardon the expression)your air away? How far will the realism go?

You can get DEM info into TrainZ - I've already done several small quads

>Where are the steamers ?

At Train Artisan, we'd like to give it a go..try getting the Empire State Express and the 4-8-2 running...

Yes, the cab works like a virtual 3D cab

Acylum,
Is a conversion software tool similar to the DEM-EX JohnCS tool required to get the quad elevation data into Trainz?

I've been able to export the DEM data from MicroDEM and put it straight into Surveyor. It's been a very easy process
