Any Russian here?
This address: http://jvs.ru/bve/ has been post on an Italian Bve forum
It seems a new program under construction. There is also a download at the bottom of the page (3AeCb label).
I've not understood if it's only a demo or an already working program. Anybody interested to have a look?
Cheers,
Luigi Cartello

Their might be a problem with the package of the program.
It comes with Mackoy's Structured Viewer as part of the Zip file and that I believe is a No No.

Looks like the new version will be available on Sunday. According to the russian text there will be some improvements in the handlling of the project and object files.

Jason,
I'm not so sure about that, Mr. Mackoy restricts the Bve program itself to his site, but the tools may well be different, my reasoning is that Paul Woozley has been distributing the English train editor on his site for ages, if that was against the rules Mackoy would have asked him to remove it, surely?

But Maybe Paul asked Mackoy first. And then maybe Mackoy said "Ok, since the one I make is in Japanese and English Developers might have problems but I want BVE to be known to the Western as well!"

Pauls program needs Mackoys Program already installed He even says so it's an overlay of Mackoys program it can't work alone.
I just think it's something to think about.

Thanks, Luigi! I took a look at this quickly and I'm very
impressed. First of all, this program is a Macromedia Flash
application, which is why it's working as a stand alone. The
preview function, which places the vertexes in the window before
adding them to the code, is excellent for beginners who
aren't used to hand coding and storing all that data in
their heads. For the first time, I really got a handle on
the relationship between the actual points and the data side
of the code.

Its ideal to get the basics for coding objects - like Christopher says it shows the relationship between the points and the code so clearly, so that anyone can understand it!
Now, if I can get a handle on the coordinates part of the code, things should all flow nicely :)

Great program. I just have to get the hang of mapping textures though

I downloaded this program and can't figure it out for the life of me. How do you open existing objects how to save objects. I know it may sound like a stupid question but I can't figure it out. So if anyone can help me with that I would greatly appreciate it....Adam

You can't until the next version according to the author. :D

I've just had a quick fidle around with the program, and it seems easy enough to use. You build the object in the main screen, then click on the button that looks like a house. you will find all the code relevant to the object you have just built there. now just copy and paste this text into the relevant .b3d file.
I must say this program seems to have alot of potential, as a time-saver. I have done all of my coding by hand before now. and you do need prior knowledge of object coding to be able to understand it.

Makes one wonder if there is a Russian BVE community somewhere that we haven't discovered yet.
Anyone look for one?

Does anyone know how to get the textures into the program?

You have to copy/move your preferred image to the same folder where the app is, then when you hit the Texture button, simply type the filename and the preview appears...

The site now has the link working to the Manual for the program.
That should help somewhat

This latest version has some action labels wrong, like rotate is now zoom, etc.
I will keep to the previous one ;)
