For those interested in getting some more info on KRS, I suggest monitoring the UKTrainSim forum for it. A discussion with Adam from Kuju seems to be occuring on a frequent basis.

Maybe they could talk to us here what a novel idea. Kuju talking to it's potential USA and CANADIAN customers at trainsim.com. Probably won't happen though since we are and after thought.

Perhaps they're viewing us as a hostile country. Even on the UK board someone was getting on their case for not having better communicated. You know, when you finally get fed it's best not to bite the hand that's feeding! Sometimes I think we're all just a bunch of spoiled brats (self included)

I notice KujuAdam is now moderator of this forum, and is posting on the UK train sims, but hasn't posted here yet...
BTW, anybody know a good translator for the UK forums?

I agree with Moose. I thought this forum was open for "them" to discuss their upcoming program to us on this side of the pond as well. I guess I am wrong.

Could be that Adam Lucas will post here once he has something positive to report, dealing with US content of KRS, once KUJU have more to tell us on the subject ?
Anybody interested in the European version can do to so by looking up the UK-TS KRS forum !

What's funny is that you learn more of the US end of things from the 3DTrainstuff's website in their announcements then from Kuju. There Kuju's vendor/developermentpartner/contractworker admitted they were busy working on the KRS American content with a possible release date then working on MSTS stuff which they are back to working on having finished whatever they were doing for KRS.

For anyone who has not seen the above mentioned release, here is the link:

Bill,
Thanks for the info. It is easy to see why Kuju would pick 3dtrainstuff to do the American content since they also have a British section doing British rail routes. It is possible they even contributed to the British routes for KRS.
Concerning why doesn't Kuju communicate with Train-sim.com--it could be the feeling that we Americans will eventually find the webpage where they are doing the postings, and not to take the time to do duplications of effort. It would have been nice to have a one line notice as to where the postings would be done.
I just hope that KRS gives us a complete route that will extend from one major yard to another and cover a lot of area for switching. I am disappointed with SLI and 3Dtrainstuff for routes that only cover half of a subdivision like Donner Pass and Seligman paywares of which I bought neither for that very reason.
Having 3DTS provide the American content would seem to imply another route from west of the Mississippi and maybe even out in California. It COULD imply that neither SP nor ATSF/BNSF railroads would be used since they would compete with 3DTS's own MSTS programs that will still be out there for those who will stick with MSTS.

On the other hand, it could imply that they are reusing their existing content as the basis for improved KRS content. They could take it to the next level instead of starting from scratch. There could be very little fear of cannibalizing their own product, since KRS will likely be a much larger revenue stream than poor old MSTS.
cheers

Personally, I wouldn't complain if they decided to include a modern-day version of Donner Pass with KRS...
