Hi Abid,

nice pictures! Nice engines. ALCo exports, aren't they? Thanks for showing them. Which country are they from? And did I see it correctly, that they run on wide gauge tracks?

Regards,
Michael

As I mentioned in Abid's other thread, my guess is Pakistan.

> And did I see it correctly, that they run on wide gauge tracks?

If that is Pakistan then that is probably 5'6" gauge, yes.

Abid:

When you upload images, look for the checkbox that says "Check this box if you wish to embed attachment URL in the message text box." That will display the images in your message so you don't have to click on them to see them.

(I think somebody once posted a screenshot of the upload box with this option circled. Anyone have a link to that image?)

Thanks for posting these. Always nice to see international shots.

Rob.

Very nice! Any idea how similar the 4619 is compared to an Indian WDM2 class Alco?

The first photo looks like an Australian "44 Class" Alco which were a popular design for the New South Wales Government railways and can still be see down here on freight trains.
