I'm not sure where to post this, but this seems like a good place... I just recently bought MLT's Cascades Crossing and have been enjoying it. But when I was operating my first activity, I noticed this object...

can someone tell me what it is? Is it an over-dimension detector, or what?
thanks!

To me, it kinda looks like it would hold track orders, mail, or simular items. Possibly put in a bag with rope on each end tied to one of the "hoops" and to one of the arms on the side to be picked up by the train while its moving without having to stop. Just a guess.

Looks to be a high/wide load detector, if one of the sensors was hit by a car or load it would set the detector/alarm off notifing the crew of the prblem.

If it were around a station, or something, it might make sense, but it was quite a ways from a station, or even a grade crossing...

Your correct, thats what it is. There is one near Klamath Falls, and one near Eugene. But instead of the "High/Wide" it's more of a sensor for shifted loads, containers; lumber; etc.
