There used to be such a method by Jim Ward that was on the Steam4me site before the server shut down. Now it's gone. Is there any other way?

The site isn't gone. http://msts.steam4me.net/tutorials/index.html#routes

The tutorial in question appears to still be missing, but it will return at some point.

If you have Route Riter, go to the RR folder, and in there is a folder called Stuffit. In the folder here I have two files, EZstuff3 and EZstuff4, both bat files. I used EZstuff4.bat to check what it does.

Copy this to your new route folder, and run the bat file. It will copy every shape and texture it can find from the 6 default routes into your new route folders.

Do you have some other way to do it? I tried it before and most shapes were missing textures.

You can do it manually by copying all the shapes and textures out of the default routes' folders and into your route, into the appropriate folders.

Then take all of the default .ref files, and Copy/Paste their contents into your route's .ref file. Make sure the file has only one header, at the very beginning. There may also be some duplicates but that isn't a big deal.

Done.
