• Privacy

We know that privacy is important and we want you to be aware of our policies as to what information the site gathers and how this information is used.

    Membership Information

To become a member of FlightSim.Com you must fill out a registration with your name and your email address. Registered membership is only required if you wish to use the message forums and the file download library or if you wish to enter the various contests we run. Simply reading web page material on the site does not require you to become a registered member.

    Contests

Many of our contests require that in addition to being a registered member you must supply your mailing address. This is done so that we know where to ship the contest prizes to the winners. No other use of mailing addresses is made, and mailing addresses are not supplied to outside parties except in cases where contest prizes are shipped directly by the company sponsoring the prize.

    Cookies

Cookies are used several ways, primarily to record your member login information. When you create an account and login to the file library your login details are recorded in a cookie. Unless you allow this cookie to be set on your computer you will be unable to download files.

Our message forum software uses a separate login system that also uses cookies to record your login details. Unless you allow this cookie to be set on your computer you will not be able to post messages into the forums.

Some banner advertisements employ cookies. See below for additional information about advertisements.

    Email Addresses

Registered members are required to supply their email address. This is for internal use only and is not supplied to any outside parties. New members are initially placed on the list to receive our monthly email newsletter, but may opt out using the instructions at the beginning of each newsletter or by using the links on our Main Menu.

    Advertising

We use several third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our site. This company may use information (not including your name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to our and other web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. In addition, we share web site usage information about visitors to our sites with these companies for the purpose of managing and targeting advertisements and for market research analysis on our site and other sites. For these purposes, we and our third-party advertising companies may note some of the pages you visit on our site through the use of pixel tags (also called clear gifs). In the course of serving advertisements to this site, our third-party advertisers may place or recognize a unique "cookie" on your computer.

If you would like to opt-out of these advertising cookies, please visit the Network Advertising Initiative.
