While I like Silver Streak, I can't justify paying $25 for the trainset when there is a free set here in the file library. I will be interested to see what it looks like, though.

Probably didn't want to deal with the licensing. It really isn't that bad, I'm licensed by NS, BNSF and UP. BNSF asked for a screenshot of my work, and then replied that my screenshot of a BNSF boxcar ended up being the desktop wallpaper of everyone in their office. I haven't done CSX yet, but TTX replied that they really don't worry about people using their logos.

The TYR Bulkhead flats look nice, and nice pipe loads on them. But only 2 chains for each? An easy day for the NTSB should they break free and cause mayhem.

Looks like good details though, and I too would be interested in seeing the Silver Streak set as well when it's done.

I updated the website page today and fixed Soo Line. Thanks for the help. I did make the textures correct, just messed up on the website.

I have lowered some prices and want to thank everyone for your input. I am new to developing trains and have an interest to make some products from time to time. The Silver Streak engine and sky car are finished. So should be ready in a week or two.

I also am getting help from a veteran train simmer who knows trains very well and the community. Thanks Edd.

In the future we will try to make products that have never been made. We don't like making products that other developers have already done. We are interested in making steam engines and will focus on a good model for late this year!

Oh by the way after you see some sample pics of the Silver streak i am sure you will want a copy. I am using 1024 textures and 15,000 poly's per car since you only use less than 20 in a set. The engines are 25,000 polys and have full animation including doors windows wipers and a custom cab. I will post some pics here later today!

The "SOO" on the sides of the 2230A is the wrong style. The unit is also the wrong phase of F7s in which the 2230A was a phase II F7, which lacked the roof overhang on the back of the unit.

I think it is a shame that their rolling stock will be all fictional depictions. The wheels look great and the cars overall look very nice. Whether air hoses are connected between cars means nothing to me as an MSTS user since you can't see when they are connected anyway during an activity. Having loaded box cars 3" closer to the ground than the empty version would also require better eye sight than I now have to really see the difference. However, it does show that they are trying to make improvements with MSTS and that is appreciated. Would I purchase fictional rolling stock for myself--not anytime in the next generation.

Your right the font style is wrong. Not sure how i did that. Will change that one. For the over hang, only the front engine has none.
i will remove this when all models are done. The differences between all theses models are still getting worked out. i did notice the
middle and reverse engine does have a over hang and i wonder why?

And it was way more work to make this realism. Most of us can see this gap people leave. If you care what the freight says, you should care on the other detail as well. i would take a high poly model over a low poly, since repaints can change the appearance.

Although i did plan to make real world textures, but i was not sure on copy right issues. i heard that it's ok by the fact everyone uses real names for over 10 years. Grandfathered in with HO scale models. So actually if you look close the RT Southern is actually Southern railroad. So half of them are real word even tho we stated they were not!

Nobody wants to get in trouble.

Please post more information about using real world names?

How many LOD levels do you include with the models? With hi poly models its critical to transition to lower detail meshes as the viewing distance increases.

I used 4 distances on the loaded boxcars and 3 on all the others. The loaded boxcars when zoomed fully in show an open door for a hands free animation.

      The nearest is 75m
The furthest is 1000m and is only the box car that has most of it's detail hidden. So far we tested 85 cars with no issues.

I had all models tested by a MSTS user of 10 years.

Should these F7's have only 1 brake line? In the sample pictures we have 1 on each side.
Another question. Do california Zephyr cars have side running lights. I have lights for the observation car only.
