What I wish new route builders would include!
What I wish new route builders would include . . . . . a nice map to go along with the new route! :) Geez, that would be so "peachie-super-nice-great to boot."
It would be so nice to be able to look up the stations and route structure before setting about on a journey of discovery.
Just a thought from my wish list......!

Try opening the route in the activity editor, that's what I do to get a look at the route.

While in MSTS it is sort of inconvenient to shut that down and go into the editor.

well I would agree with that....lol I probably should have said that's what I do before I run the route....

I always make a print of the route from the Activity editor. I also print enlarged copies of some of the more crowded areas such as yards.

Several of the more popular routes *do* have maps provided for you. Look in the routes directory, and you will probably find them.

If you are running a BNSF route you can go to http://www.bnsf-ttc.com/bnsftime/index.html
and get the timetable for that one.
CSX one are available at http://www.trainweb.org/csxtimetables/

There are maps of the Florida Funnel route in the Funnel info folder which you will find in the Funnel root directory.
There are of course multiple web sources for maps for prototype routes such as the Funnel and Raton, though you will have to dig a bit deeper into the historical documents to find a map of the SD&AE!

Rich, I have a reasonably decent schematic for my new route, but haven't been able to find a scanner yet. However, when/if you download it, there is a complete listing by MileMarker and also in the credit/docs/schematics, there is a screen cap of most of the sidings. Not the neatest way to do it, but the best I could get done at the moment. The ADF public-relations people are on vacation - undpaid leave :-) - so I'm not sure when this will get done. Hope you enjoy it anyway if you try it.
