    Default TGV TRAIN SIM PACK

Can anyone tell me if this is a good add-on to get?

What are the graphics like and how many activities are included?

Let me put it to you this way...You can have mine for freee! Biggest waste of money next to any Abacus product. Scenery was sparce, and the route was boring. For a route that was suppose to be so damn great, it was really a let down.

He was asking about the Train Pack -- NOT the route.

Besides, how did you waste money on the route, when it's been available for download for FREE???? I don't think they ever charged for it.

Hmmm .. thats the ashford chunnel one isn't it? ... Dunno mate.. I'd be interested to hear if the http://www.simulatortracks.com/ latest route is good too ?
Meanwhile I'll make do with the speedworks tgv's , edouards duplex, and LGV med :-0 jv

If you're referring to the Train Simulator Speedworks models, I recommend them:

Clem Tillier's craftsmanship is excellent and the TGV sets are a great value.

The channel tunnel route is totally fictional but the stations, names are based on real ones.

    here's my story.

    1) I bought the pack from JustTrains, download version.
    2) Had some missing textures, objects floating above the ground, sparse scenery.
    3) found some patches on JustTrains website which were supposed to fix these, so downloaded em.
    4) The patch install wouldnt run unless I had the Product's CD in the drive - which counts me out as mine was download version.
    5) Contacted their support, and some clown tried to tell me the update was included in my product.
    6) I disputed this, and was sent another 'patch' which did absolutley nothing.
    7) I could see where all this was going, so I just bailed out, after sending a letter of complaint to JustTrains, and vowing never to touch their stuff again.

This addon is pretty lame, but the company I bought it from is more so.

I purchased the TGV Trainsim Pack from Just Trains shortly after it has been released in 2002.

Test-installing it again from it's CD and checking the rolling stock with the Shape File Manager and running the LGV-MED which is using them get no reports about missing anything !

Can you be more specific what your installation of them is missing ?

    Hi Otto,

These are what I'm getting errors about - the route, rather than the rolling stock. http://www.justtrains.net/product.asp?pid=304

    shapes\ukcrossgate.s
    shapes\ukcrossgate.sd
    textures\levelcrossing.ace
    terrtex\snow\brownscrub.ace
    terrtex\browndirt.ace

the first four erros I get approaching the tunnel from the UK side - its just as you approach the 201kph speed limit change, about 22 kms out of ashford.

It's just that all the items which the update3 patch is supposed to give are missing from my version. (http://www.justtrains.net/faqs.asp?d...%20Train%20Sim)

I've fixed the missing files problem temporarily by copying versions from different routes, but the update3 patch mentions extra track-side objects, which I hoped might fill up the rather sparse landscape coming out of Lille.
