SIM WILL NOT LOAD NOW!!!

last nite I loaded Bob Pickering's tehachapi route modern pack and now the sim wouldn't load. I get this error message: error reading train database file, file trains/trainset/sd402/bnsf 6378 then the next one: error reading train database file, file trains/trainset/ sd402/ bnsf 7832 eng file and so on. None of the these engines or cars it calls out are in my trainsets? I tried deleting the acts. and consists with those engine numbers, didn't help.
The AE wouldn't open it's a blurr and has the same message on it.What should I do, delete all the acts and consists from this package or just do one at a time until the sim loads again or will it?
How bad of a problem is this? Will I have to reload TP2 and the bonus pack? uninstall and reinstall MSTS? I'm a novice at this so please excuse why ignorance.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dave
Ps the error messages mention 2 different well cars ttx ups/wag and yellow well/wag and a 3dts CPhopper all of which are not in my trainset folders?

The first thing to do is calm down. :-)

The second thing to do is read any available documentation as to extra rolling stock needed.

The third thing to do is email Bob and see what he says.

Check it out with Route Riter and see what comes up. Or just delete the new activities from your "Activity", "Paths", "Traffic" and "Services" folders for that route. Just move all the contents (not the folder itself) to a storage folder somewhere, preferably in your documents folder, and if everything is back to normal, then delete all the moved contents.

The readme file that Bob included has a list of 16 zip files that are needed for the engines and rolling stock. Do you have these installed in your trainset folder?

Yes,as far as I can tell these two sd40s and freight cars these error messages are talking about were not in these flies. any ideas?

I deleted the four acts. from four folders and I still gives the same message ERROR Reading train database file file trains/trainset/sd402/bnsf 6378 eng.

Ok I give up who is Bob and how do I reach him? I read all documentation and did what it said.

Get Route Control Lite (an oldie and very definately a goodie) and run the check up function. It will detail exactly what .eng or .wag files are needed in what folder, sorted by route as well as activity. Taking nothing away from RouteRiter or ConBuilder or any of the other fine utilities available today, I find Route Control to be an invaluable, albeit overlooked, tool.
