Of all 10,000 steam locomotives in North America ( about )
about 1,000 are in operations all over NA!

As far as I know, there is an ATSF "Blue Goose" in production as we speak. Beyond that and the ESE, I'm not sure if there are any others right now.

As far as I know the Empire State Express and the other steam trains that are in Train Artisan's software package are the only american streamlined steam locomotives available. Since they are now only available if you buy Train Artisan's software, that means that there are no longer any streamlined locomotives available to download for free :-(. So if you want to build the Hiawatha, go for it. We can definitely use some more streamlined steam engines. I will also add a quick question to my post for any of the train artisan guys out there. I would like to purchase the American Classics package that Train Artisan has but I really don't like purchasing anything over the internet, which is the main reason I haven't ordered it. I saw on the train artisan website that it is available in retail stores and was planning on purchasing it that way. So I was hoping someone from Train Artisan could tell me which retail stores are carrying the American Classics set for Train Simulator. Hopefully one of the stores selling it is in the Philadelphia area :-) Thanks.

I've seen shots of a N&W J class in production, not sure what the status is now though.

You do realize that the 4449 is "semi"-stremelined!

I have a Hiawatha started. There's a screen shot somewhere in the library. I had to back up a bit on the superstructure after learning a bit. I started with the Hudson, because I had plans for it. I plan to make the Atlantic. I have the Model Railroader plans for the entire train and I do want to build that distinctive tail car also. If somebody doesn't beat me to it. I had started on the Pennsy T1 until I saw the screenshots of the Horseshoe Curve...Maybe I can go for an S or Q instead.

The Reading Crusader? Now there's a thought...Better finish the Triplex first. Since making each one of these things takes as long (or longer) than building HO brass from scratch it will take some time to get through my wishlist.

The problem is the doing is not as easy as I thought (funny how that works). Nothing like taking a shot at one of these beauties to give you a genuine appreciation of all the stuff in the library
