D&RGW GP38-b
I've been practicing weathering on this model. I thought I'd post a pic and see what y'all thought...

The numbers and model are inaccurate, but it was good for practice.

It looks great. Like you mentioned, it's the wrong model but it still looks good. If you add another fan to the radiator and increase the size of the radiatior it would be close to the GP40's D&RGW has/had.

Oh ah, don't forget the nose light. I think most D&RGW units had them in addition to the one between the number boards.

I have no idea why the links are broken now when they worked fine when I first posted. If anyone still wants to see the images, just right click the red x's, go to Properties, and the URL will be there.
Actually, when I was looking at paint schemes I borrowed this one from a GP40. It did have a nose light, but I thought it might look cheesy to put it on there when no light could come out of it. Also, you'll notice that there are no pictures of the left side; I ran into that problem of "double sampling" certain patches of the artwork. I think I'll stick to Dash 9s for awhile, at least until something else comes out.
