In the recent repaint of DLW E8 #810 & 820, In folder for the 810 there is a file "makeace.exe" Can anyone tell me what this files purpose is?

Sounds like the repainter accidently included the file in there. Makeace.exe is one of the utilities that were provided with TS to convert texture files into the .ace format used by the sim. You can delete it if you want.

The makeace.exe file is the tool used for converting the texture files (.bmp files in this case) into the .ace files used by MSTS.

I thought I deleted all of the unneeded files before making the zipfile, but I gues I missed that one. You can go ahead and delete this file from the folder. It won't affect the operation of the locomotive and you already have it in your MSTS Utilities folder.
