Question: What are the minimums required in designing routes?
Hey all
I'm piddling with the Route Editor, and I've noticed that you just can't slap down a few pieces of track and expect to have TS recognize your route in-game. So my question is, what are the minimum requirements for a route to show up in game in TS?
Do I need an x number of signals/switches/platforms?
What do I need to create on my route to get Route Editor to generate an Explore Activity?
Thanks for the time.

RE: Question: What are the minimums required in designing routes?
This first route I ever created was just a simple straight line that ended in the reversing loop design that was so eloquently posted here awhile back. No stations or objects...only the basic track and two switches. All I did to get it viewable by MSTS was to go into the Activity Editor and just create a simple activity where the train had to go down the straight away and reverse, ending back up where it started. The activity itself took me perhaps two minutes to create. Once that was created, I had both that and the Explore mode options.
Hope this helps.
