XTrack question for Okrasa Ghia
Okrasa,
First, thanks for making Xtracks, I use this stuff everywhere in my routes. I realize Xtracks is a work in progress but I have a couple questions about some problems I've been having with double slips in the current version. I know in the readme it says there are some path problems, so I hope that my problems are already known. Both switches in the pics below have the end piece installed properly with no blue poles on any of the legs of the switches.
In this first pic, no matter what direction I approach the slip from, it won't let me adjust the points manually. This is the manual slip too. I can set a path to run over the switch in any combination in AE and the train will go that way but the turning paths cause quite a bit of jerkiness in the train that looks like a derailment but is not. If I divert from the original path set in AE and approach the switch from another direction, I can only take the straight path through the switch with no ability to change the switch.

In the second pic, I set this manual slip up further down the line as a test. If I approach from the green legs, I can change the points on the switch all day long and take either the straight or turning path. As soon as I get on the red legs though, the switch is "jammed" from that point and I can't adjust it.

I really don't need to have the track configuration in the first pic, but I like it because it follows some prototypical examples I have and it does save space.
I also noticed that in your preview of the next version of Xtracks you have the single slip - crossover combination that is close to what I have in the first pic. I was wondering if the new version will also allow me to have my combination from the first pic.
Thanks for all your efforts and keep up the good work!

RE: XTrack question for Okrasa Ghia
Several people have reported strange behaviour of the slips and this might be the reason Kuju left them out. I have to confess that I’m not really looking into the problem as I’m concentrating on the new stuff for the next version instead. With the new pieces you can do without those slip sections and it will be easier to use without the need of the hedgehog also it should work correctly with the F8 view and the controls. The new version will allow your first combination to be built and a lot of other combinations too. It would be impossible to make a list of all the possibilities as it’s a modular system with practically infinite combination possibilities. I’m currently texturing the peaces and have to do a double check of the geometry and update the documentation but I hope it will be worth the wait.

RE: XTrack question for Okrasa Ghia
Great! I've already removed that combination and am anxiously awaiting the upgrade. Thanks again!
