Default Kettle Creek Trestle on the L&PS

We are at mile 14.5 where the L&PS crosses the 90' deep Kettle Creek ravine on a 600' long steel trestle. County road 9 crosses the line at the north end of the bridge. In the background is the 25Hz power station that supplies the southern portion of the line. It was the shutdown of the 25Hz generators at Niagara Falls that spelled the end of electric service on the L&PS.

The trestle was always a popular spot for railfans and the second shot of No 2 crossing the trestle is a classic among rail photographers.

    Enjoy

The L&PS is a route I have under construction in my spare time with no timetable for release.

    Wayne,

I must say I eagerly await each and everyone of your posts just for this reason. Your work is superb and a joy to look at. I'd like to get my overhead to look as good as yours. Are those 6-arm power transmission towers yours? They're very nice!

    Great work!

    Cheers!

Thanks for the encouraging comments Tim,

The towers are jp1powerpylon.s from the MSTS Japan routes. I have them positioned quite close to the track and they are a bit coarse with not enough detail for such closeup viewing so I may rework them when I have time.
