Thread: The London Tube site

  1. #1

    Default The London Tube site

    Anyone remember it?

Used to be http://www.thelondontube.co.uk then http://www.thelondontube.org.uk (Or maybe the other way around?)

I think it was run by James?
But anyway, it looks like it's gone for good, so what I'd like to know is, are the routes that were on there available elsewhere?

    Thanks
    Tim

James Roberts owned this site. Unfortunately I don't think we'll see it returning soon. Pity that.

    Hi all,

Still alive and kicking, enjoying a bit more of a relaxed schedule of late ;)

Alex, I got your mail re the Viccy Northbound but haven't unpacked or looked at the files yet. IIRC the original v1 by Sacha Dodd was used to produce the v2 coutesy of Paul Jobber, so when I packed the new archive I included all the routefiles that worked in v2, so you should have 4 runs, north-south and back again, ending in a siding I believe... but if there's more to be had I will certainly include it.

*EDIT* - Just checked that archive, it's a different route package so will see about adding it to the roster ;)

    Ciao

Both are not working due to bandwidth problems, if I remember correctly...

Well www.lthelondontube.co.uk is now an advert for a MGB1967 with chrome bumpers and wire wheels. Not a bad car but not what we would like to see :(

Yep, and I e-mailed him about 20 times offering to host the site for him, but he didn't reply to any of the e-mails. He did however reply to a post on the Crotrainz forum and he said he was interested and that he would e-mail me later in the week. That was last year, so it seems he's had to neglect the site because of his education. So that's why I was asking if the routes are available anywhere else, cos I don't see The London Tube coming back any time soon (if ever) ;)
