Some advice or suggestions.
In one of his posts, Alex proposed building a small scale rail road. Something like the 1"=1' or 4-3/4" or 7-1/2" gauge lines. I now have or have access to the tools to try this. The Inner Harbor project is nearing an end. The work on it is in the detail clean up and bug fix end. I would like to do this project as the next thing. I need some advice on how to proceed. There are two ways to do this:
1)Rescale all the objects in the scene that are in the model to a smaller type and use normal Size BVE curves and people and real world items.
2)Overscale the real world objects, raise the view from the cab to make rest of the world look small.
There are advantages and disadvantages to each.
In the first, the world is the full size BVE world, but so are the limits. A curve can practically be no tighter than 50 meters. This would scale to something like 400 to 600 meters in the model world. but this is a little large for a model, even a rideable one.
In the second, the curves would look Model like, but the extent of the world would be small and with the over scale objects would cause problems with the 25 meter phenomena.
I believe both methods should be doable, but I would like some input on what you think would work better.
BTW, before you ask why? Because I think it would be fun to do. May or may not produce a releaseable project. I just want to see if I can do this.
