    Default Route Editor usage

I have searched to see if this question hs been addressed, but cannot find an answer (unless I have overlooked something). I understand that Route Editor can be used to adjust the positions rolling stock that may foul and switch thereby causing the activityto crash. In fact, I have moved consists that may have started too close to a signal using RE.

Recently, I had a problem involving an activity that crashed because an engine was not properly placed. I attempted to use RE to move the engine to a more favorable position, but like the crash on opening of the SIM, Route Editor crashed before I could edit the activity.

I ended up completely removing the offending consist (a single engine), and the acticity ran without problem. In short, can RE be used if an activity has crashed (as opposed to moving consists a bit in activities that are workinf)?

    Thanks in advance.

Activity editor or Route Editor? The only way to "edit" a locomotive or wagon's position in a route with the Route editor is if the unit is a scenery object. (and listed in the route's REF file) Consist positions in an activity are not able to be edited using the route editor. (Unless they are scenery objects or someone has figured a way to do it and I don't know about it )

My mistake; I have been attempting to use Activity Editor to circumvent the problem of consist placement.

One thing I always find useful in the Activity editor is to check several of the options under the "view" tab, displaying platforms, signals, names etc....It helps a lot when positioning consists...Also, on some systems, you have to run the AE under 16 bit color(although I'm able to use 24 bit with no issues) on your desktop because of it crashing.

Thanks very much. I'll go to 16 bit next time.
