Thread: Colton and Northern migration RS to RW

Default Colton and Northern migration RS to RW

Mike Simpson's RW Tools + Digital-rails Asset Conversion Manual = success!

Used RW Tools to migrate route first, then followed instructions in manual to transfer assets. Worked like a charm.

    Default What if...

The RSDL Foilage Pack required by the C&N does not seem to be available at the Rail Simulator website any more. How will this affect purchasers who want to add this route into RailWorks?

Suggest you contact Rich Garber at Allaboard as he has been very responsive about such inquiries.

I had a lot of trouble getting mine to work too. Here is what I did it worked for all my RS routes:

-Simply find the .rpk file and COPY it somewhere where ya can see it, like your 'desktop'

-Now run RW/PackageManager/Install and browse to the file above, and install

-Copy ALL the assets from rs/assets to steam/steamapps/common/railworks/assets etc etc but DO NOT copy the kuju folder

-Run RWTools/checkroute/missing items, might be the couple from kuju folder. USE RWTools to find if its 'all there' BEFORE RUNNING IT if not find the files in RS and copy till you get a clean run.

    I found the instructions at http://digitalrailz.webs.com .

I found an easier way. First zip up all the files in the Railworks Assets folder. Then copy everything from Rail Simulator Assets file to Railworks Assets folder. This may overwrite some of the KUJU files in RailWorks. Then unzip the file you stored above to be sure the new Railworks files are restored. Saves a lot of time.
