    Default More Racks

More BEW/Jeff A racks to come. Here is a WIP shot...

If anyone would happen to have good detailed photos of old fallen-flag or pre-mergers please shoot me a PM...

    Thank you.

Also, looking for the proper Seaboard Coast Line letter font for the top rack there. Proper name of the font would be fine, I can take it from there...

Would these be prototypical for the Amtrak 9100-series trilevels as well?

I am not sure about that as I have not researched Amtrak racks yet... But I can tell you that there are AMTRK 9200 series being worked on.

The 9200 series are the brand new autoracks that Amtrak purchased in 2005 or thereabouts.
Before that they used two different types of autoracks, both dating from the days of the original Auto-Train. One was the bilevel cars of the 9000 series, looking sort of like a stretched boxcar with a bad case of hydrocephalus: http://www.hebners.net/amtrak/amtRACK/amt9003.jpg (Diesels West have a prototypical model for this in their freeware section).
Then there were the 9100 series trilevel cars, originally purchased new by Auto-Train in 1976 IIRC, that looked more like ordinary autoracks: http://www.hebners.net/amtrak/amtRACK/amt9100.jpg

I am aware of that and these are the only ones that are planned for now. Maybe the older types could be looked into in the future.

    Ty Mark,

I am planning a few more fallen-flag or pre-merger racks as well. I am currently researching photos and taking a few request perhaps with in reason. Also still seeking a good photo database for with good quality picks of the above mentioned.

As always, this a joint venture with the BEW Crew and will be another fine BEW release.

Great job!!! I've been hoping someone would release a few fallen flag racks. I've especially been looking for the NW ones!

I gotta say, you do some quality work on those racks. I have every package you've released and love watching them pass by in an AI train or pulling them myself!

Actually most of the credit goes to Bernard Grant and Jeff Auberpine for the 4 previous sets.

As a member of the BEW team I have did work on the newest set in the area of SOUTHERN, NS, NW, and these new ones I am working on at present such as the DT&I, NW's, SCL and a few others to be named soon.

Currently researching some MoPac, MKT, FRISCO, ICG and a few others.
