Default White Pass & Yukon Route

I know how hard it is to build routes as Im in the process of building my own route at the moment but has anyone thought of building the White Pass & Yukon Route up in Alaska?

I have thought about it, but I don't have the time or capability right now. I would REALLY like to see a WP&YR route, because an MSTS route like that has potential. plus, just think about it: your msts train hugging the mountainside up to the Summit, or Fraser, or even Carcross.

I have also thought of building the route, but because it is narrow guage, there are limited track shapes and no dynamic track available.
If I built it it would have to be a standard guage route - which would no doubt turn a lot of folks off.

Bob, you can use dynamic track for narrow gauge, you set up the dynamic track sections as standard gauge in the RE, and then use dynatrax to convert them to narrow gauge. I've done it, it's simple, easy, and looks fine in-game.

Well, those reasons don't hold up. With the later Xtracks releases there's enough track pieces to do just about anything.

In the odd case that you need to get around the "just about", lay down some dynamic track and convert with Dynatrax. The dynamic track in the before and after below has a radius 6.62 meters different than the track right at the depot.

It would be nice if someone did the entire Alaska Railroad for train simulator. I work for Princess Cruise Ship line in Alaska and have shot video of the entire Alaska RR and the scenery is amazing. Everything from the gulf coast along Turnagain Arm to the interior section from Anchorage through Denali National Park to Fairbanks.

You can see the Alaska RR videos I shot on my youtube account at www.youtube.com/CoastStarlight11

Charlie, all that is missing from above screenshot is the McDonald's down the street... I'm certain it has been there since the early 1900's.

Pretty certain that there's someone working on portions of this already, but it's a pretty daunting task.

I'd very much like to see the White Pass route as well. And/or Alaska as well. That would be some thrilling driving and views for MSTS.

here's the GE Shovelnose (I don't know the model #), and this is the only diesel that there is for WP&YR, and there is a Lake Spirit Passenger Car as well.

The first shot is a motivator, i would guess. It was taken on Silverton V2.0

Here are closer shots. Note the amount of detail in the locomotive

Just putting these out here to show that there is SOME WP&YR equipment. I know about the 69 model (2-8-0), and I might re-work it, but i don't know yet
