Rick,
I felt I needed to say this. I had started throwing my usual upgrades into the latest version, and only got as far as Chicago and southbound towards Indiana. I routinely use this stretch for start and end points for activities that originate and terminate in the Chicago area.
I "shelved" further modding of the route because I wasn't sure what to do that would not corrupt the things you have done.
I have been looking for a nice stretch of midwest style, double track mainline with industry to upgrade and use as a stand in for UP's Chicago-St.Louis line. Last night I opened Monon in the RE and explored the double track portion leading southeast to Monon, and the portion to Lafayette.
Bingo! I could certainly use that for my pet project. And I really want to compliment you. Now that I took a closer look at this portion of the route, I must say you did an outstanding job on this version. And with what you are doing now, you really grew this route by leaps-and-bounds from the original versions - which were good in their own right.
