    Default Car Spawners

Here is a Open Rails request.

If possible, could it be possible to make the program use certain types of car spawners?

    Example
    1-Interstate roads
    2-city roads
    3-dirt roads etc

    ????

I doubt it, but thought I would mention it.

Would be pretty cool to watch a tractor go down a farm field, then only cars on a small town road, then alott of semi trucks on an interstate highway and the possibilities would be endless?

    Rick,
The plan for new OpenRails created routes using the OpenRails WorldEditor is to "model" roads/etc just like trains are modelled - i.e. there is a route (track or pavement/dirt/field - it's almost irrelevant what the graphic is); there is AI (trains or cars/trucks/tractors) and there are indications and direction changes (signals/stop lights & switches/intersections).

This will require a "converted" or "new" OpenRails-based route as the data required to support this kind of functionality doesn't exist in MSTS and there is no way to add it to MSTS route data structures.

    Now that is impressive.............................

Will existing routes be able to be changed to a total OR environment or only newly created routes in OR Editor?

The plan is to provide a tool "to convert" MSTS route information to the new OR format - as much as possible. Activities definitely will not "convert", but routes element should be able to automatically moved. I will say some manual "clean up" will probably be necessary.
