Can't start up the program of Train Simulator 2012

I tried to start up the program of Train Simulator 2012 and the message said below:

I wonder if the site of Steam is having a problem? Or something to do with my program of Train Simulator 2012.

Let me know about this because I don't know if others are having the same problem or just me.

I have received that message many times. Sometimes it is temporary, other times it's been over a week before I got back on. If it persists, check with Steam Support.

Thanks for letting me know and want to tell you that I even tried to launch the program of Train Simulator 2012 in offline mode and got the same message as above. Don't understand why?

Good Morning:

My experience with off line is that RW3 has to sinc with the cloud before you can go off line. That is you have to be on line before you can go off line.

I only go online now to get an update after all the kool aid folks have trashed the sim.

Hope that makes sense.

Not the case here !

In this example my Internet connection is live, being connected to this forum, but at other time it is disconnected when running Steam / TS-2012 off-line.

The AVG-Pro Firewall has been told to ask for permission before allowing certain programs to connect to the Internet !

It's fixed now and one of my son did it for me. Don't ask me what he did with this? Because he had his own account with Steam as well so he must know what to do with Steam to work? I wasn't with him while he was working on this.

I kind of get the same when I start train sim.

A program needs your permission to continue

I have to press continue

then I get

Train Simulator 2012 - Steam

Then another window saying
A unidentified program wants to access to your computer

and I have to push allow

Then I get the window for train sim 2012 and I have to push start train sim 2012 the start the game is their anyway I can set it up so I only have to click a short cut on my desk top to start the game?

Don't know what Internet Security software you are using to set it's Firewall to allow these Steam / RS-2012 programs to access the Internet.

If you are using Vista or WIN-7 then their executables need to be set in their properties to be run as ADMINISTRATOR. Right-clicking on them in the Windows Explorer or in My Computer will show them.
