    Default NS Heritage 'What If's

Well, I have decided to make NS heritage units that were on the list, but never were painted, Lehigh & Hudson River, P&WV, TA&G, and another one; I forgot the name. I'm not making any promises, but these might get uploaded for download. . The first one will be the P&WV.
If it gets uploaded, it will be under the name BN, ok. Ok. Here is how the P&WV looks right now.

Cnyle, take a look at trains.com, norfolk southern corporate site and norfolk southern heritage, all one facebook. There's quite a few sketches of what these locos would have looked like and also bonus CSX, UP and BNSF what-if heritrage stuff. Quite intriging.

Very nice, indeed! Too bad NS didn't paint these units here which im making. They got left out . BTW, UP already has heritage, but it is nothing compared to 20 NS units LOL.

Yes, UP has heritage, but these sketches are what the units should have looked like vs. the graphics that UP put out. Here's one attached, just for reference,

Oh okay. I like the UP schemes, if only they didn't have the markings on them though. But still, that MKT scheme should have been on their.

The MKT one is the red "Katy" unit. There is also some sketches out there for DRGW, WP and MP in the actual schemes similar to NS's theme. The SP one was UP's best attempt in my opinion. although I do like the individual daylight, grey and black widow schemes by themselves too rather than in a combination.

UP's are borderline on what I'd call heritage. In reality, they are heavily stylized commemorative schemes. I'd have preferred they were historically accurate like NS achieved, but that's not what they did. But to their credit, they did leave some unpatched SP and CNW units...

I meant the MKT scheme should have been the Green and Yellow. It is probaly the most recognized scheme. My favorite UP scheme has to be the Mo-Pac one.

They're all on facebook. If you have an account, just do a search on any of them and it should pop right up. Then go to the photos section of the home page. In the meantime, I'll see what I can do.
