Default Generic 3-axle soundset coming soon!

I just wanted to say that Steven West (Noisemaker) and I have been working on a generic 3-axle soundset for the past few days. I recorded the sounds (specifically from DM&IR coach 33 on the North Shore Scenic Railroad) and he put together the SMS files. The soundset should be in the Elvas Tower file library by tomorrow. I don't know when they'll be on TrainSim, though.

Hold on there Dustin. Not all the kinks and bugs have been quite worked out yet. I think I did okay with the SMS, but there's a guru or two I still want to run it by.
But to help whet everyone's whistle in the meantime, here's where we're currently at with it all...

Depending on how long it takes to tweak, the soundset should be out soon at Elvas Tower. Stay tuned to the file library over there.

Yep, Elva's sucked it up better than a Dyson already. Should be here in the TS library by tomorrow.

The sounds are in the TrainSim file library. I'm just going to say that even if I didn't have anything to do with this soundset, it would still be one of the best I ever heard.

Thanks. Though I always kinda feel 'out of my element' when working on these older uncommon sounds, as I really don't know the gear like some here. So hopefully those that do can make these sounds even better for themselves and/or others.

For feeling "out of your element" with this soundset, you did an excellent job.

I could see some good use of these sounds. Specifically the Pan Am OCS train, and NS OCS train.

    I had that thought too.
