    Default Cut/Paste Scenery crashes RE

    I'm running MSTS on a system with Windows 7 64bit Pro, 16Gigs RAM, i7 3Ghz processor.

When cut and pasting clumps of scenery from one area to another crashes the RE.

Is this a problem that can be fixed, or do I have to live with it?

My older PC systems didn't have this problem, maybe rarely.

    Thanks,
    Hank

I found that happening when I wasn't saving before moving to a tile which wasn't already loaded.

How object-heavy are the tiles that you're copying to? How distant are the new tiles?

In doing the "GAP" I am simulating a railroad that was in financial straits, so there is a lot of brush on the right
of way. I use the copy/paste method to put the brush just off the tie-ends or along the fence line. So far,
I have not experienced a crash this way, but I am usually copying into the current tile or at most one adjacent
    file.

    Hi, Jerry

The problem has sort of gone away.

I like to swap route around "mini-route" setups. If the route comes from an install with MSTS BIN, to one that doesn't have it or a different version, there's a problem. If I haven't saved before the cut/paste operation, there can be problems.

And of course, running MSTS on 64bit Windows 7 introduces other problems. So, as always, tread lightly.... save and backup often.

    Regards,
    Hank
